Our services department provides the installation of energy-efficient equipment and repair heaters, filters, pumps, lights, and much more. They also ensure safe handling and application of all pool chemicals and cleaning products where required.

Frequently asked questions
There are a ton of variables from size and depth of your pool, utility runs, access for excavation to materials the client selects, elevation or slope of your yard and even location of your house which can determine permitting costs. Every design is unique to that yard. Pools can range from $60K to over $1 million.
There are many things that can cause quotes on similar pools to be vastly different. Equipment, size of plumbing, materials used, etc… If you receive a quote that is glaringly lower than the rest, proceed with caution. A lot of times builders will advertise very low pricing as a bait and switch or include “base” items in the quote. For example, a quote may say that it includes 100’ of plumbing or electrical and in reality you could have 450’ of electrical. Companies cut costs by sacrificing quality and taking shortcuts. While the pool appears cheaper up front, the cost of ownership and maintenance will be much higher over the life of your pool. You truly get what you pay for in this situation.
Any reputable builder will provide you with a written warranty. Do not accept anything verbally and review the warranty section. It is a huge investment, so do not be afraid to ask questions for clarification. Backyard Paradise Luxury Pools provides a lifetime warranty on the structure of your pool and spa to be free of leaks for as long as you own your pool.
Build times vary depending upon the complexity of the job and weather during your build. Most pool / spa builds take about 60-90 days on average. Projects that require engineering or containing structures can take longer. Your builder should provide an estimated timeline when you sign a contract.
From the time you sign a contract allow for at least 30 days for HOA approval if required before we can begin. City jobs can also add on time at the front end due to permitting reviews and during the process for inspections required at certain phases of construction.
Did you check your breaker panel in your Aqualink (pool control panel at equipment) to see if the breaker was tripped? (the breaker labeled Filter and if it is tripped it will be hung up in the middle position).
If yes push the breaker completely into the off position, then push back into the on position. Ensure the pump is turned on, on the system.
Did the pump turn on?
If yes the issue was only a tripped breaker
If no, call out a technician to diagnose the issue
Is your water level in the pool at the full level? (a full level is halfway up the skimmer mouth or right below the overflow grate)
If your pool water level is low this will cause the system to pull in air and push it through the system and into the pool.
If yes, are your skimmer doors (or weir doors) being pulled down into the skimmer with the flow of the water?
If either one of the skimmer doors are not being pulled into the skimmer with the flow of water reach int the skimmer mouth and push the doors down. One of or both of these skimmer doors not being pulled down with the flow of water will cause large amounts of air in the system.
If air bubbles continue, turn off your pump, close your suction valves (skimmer 1, skimmer 2 and main drain), remove the pump lid and clear the o ring of any debris.
If the air bubbles continue call out a technician, you have an air leak in the system that needs to be located and repaired.
Make sure that the filter pump is turned on, if the system is indicating that it is on and not running please refer to the troubleshooting steps for the pump not working.
If the pump is on, does the filter gauge on top of the main filter read any pressure?
If yes, there is a flow issue which may be that a filter clean is needed or a valve is not functioning correctly. Please call a technician to diagnose.
If no please refer to the pump not working in troubleshooting steps.
If no, put the pool into spa mode in order to get the system circulating in the spa only, this will ensure that the spa will heat and not the pool.
If yes, is the spa still spilling over?
If yes, you have an actuator (automated valve) that is not functioning properly, call a technician out to diagnose.
Is it one light or all lights that aren’t working?
If it is one light that is not working, call out a technician to diagnose, as you may have a bad bulb or fixture.
If it is all lights that aren’t working, check the GFCI plug receptacle on the side of the Aqualink (main pool control panel), as it may be tripped. Push the reset button down firmly and it will click when it is reset.
If it does not reset, call out a technician to diagnose.
If it does reset and lights still don’t work, call out a technician to diagnose.
Try logging completely out of the app. Don’t just close the app sign completely out of the app and log back in. You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
If this does not resolve the issue call out a technician to diagnose.

Then he recommended draining and cleaning the pool which is what the other company recommended again and he was still able to do it for $100 less while providing an amazing service. Very thorough, cleaned the pool really well and his team member stopped by 2-3 times after to balance the pool properly.

Had a good experience with Backyard Paradise. The designer Marc did an excellent job translating our wants into a great design with the area he had to work with, keeping in mind easements and drainage concerns. Only issue was with our first project manager and lack of progress and communication, but once that was resolved, our new project manager, Jimmy Bullock got the project back on track and made sure things were done correctly. The trades were great as well, and most of the time, communication was spot on. As with any large construction project, keeping an eye out and asking questions along the way can help ensure a successful outcome, along with working with a good, solid professional company. We were very pleased with the experience and the end result. We got a great pool that we will enjoy for many years to come.

About six months ago we started our journey researching who to use to build a pool for us. After a ton of horror stories on who not to use we narrowed it it down to Backyard Paradise Pools.
I really would like to give a big shout out to the entire team at Backyard Pools, from the first contact to the finishing touches it was a extremely pleasant journey. We first met Jan Landess our designer. The meeting with Jan went exactly the way I vision it should go. She came out, sat down and discussed all our wants and ideas, walk our area, took pictures of our landscaping to assure the pool would fit in.
Her first rendering was spot on, we had a few tweaks and it was what we wanted. Jan was with us the entire time. The time table is what was next, the schedule that was proposed was what we received.
Next we were introduced to the project manager, Jimmy Bullock. Jimmy came out a few days early to introduce himself and paint the layout for our review, with a couple of minor changes we were ready to start. The install started and stayed pretty much on schedule all the way to completion.
As in any construction there is always changes and things that come up, Jimmy was such a pleasure to work with and had a “can do” attitude. All crews were involved were on time and held the highest standard of quality. When we had changes or issues Jimmy was on top of it.
Our experience with the entire team at Backyard Pool, specially Jan Landess and Jimmy Bullock was a pleasant journey and we would highly recommend this them to create your dream pool!

My initial inquiry was answered in a timely fashion, we received a quote quickly and when we decided it was time to start the project they had everyone lined up where lag times between milestones were minimal. Russell Campbell was our sales rep and he did a great job putting our vision onto paper and had good knowledge (& was respectful!) of the financial aspects of our project. He was personable and fun to work with! Jon Deloof was our Project Manager and from our first meeting it was clear that he had a strong understanding of the overall mechanics and helped us so much from a technical perspective. He was on time, communicated well, and consistently under promised and over delivered. He was straightforward and set expectations clearly and appropriately. We couldn’t be more pleased with his performance and attention to us as clients. We also worked with Tami and she was so attentive with our requests and always quick to respond. Eric helped us on the service side and he was great with communication and answered all of our silly questions. They are now maintaining the pool for us and we have been impressed with the ease of that process and very glad we made that decision. Overall, we would recommend Backyard Paradise to anyone (and we have!). Choosing a pool contractor is a stressful process and everyone we worked with made it so much easier for us. Money well spent!

Wow…. just wow!! From the initial contact with Backyard Paradise Pools, we had nothing but the best experiences. They designed a beautiful layout that fit our unique backyard and our desires. Picking out the stones, colors, materials etc. was effortless and they had perfect recommendations based on our environment and design ideas. The two people that we dealt with primarily were Sam (the project manager) and Tami (the coordinator). They were both absolutely wonderful, updated us and contacted us frequently, and were always readily available for any questions that popped up.
The construction took place on a surprisingly fast timeline. We were lucky to have good weather the entire time but even with the contractors all being busy, they followed their original timeline almost exactly.
The quality of the work all the way through exemplified professionalism.
And as far as the final results… Every morning I step out and I am thrilled how my ugly backyard has been transformed into my true backyard paradise. Our family uses the pool constantly and I know with the quality of the work done, it will be a hassle-free experience enjoying this oasis.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with this company! I had no idea what to expect while building a pool, I assumed it would be super stressful and that was not the case at all. Our designer was Marc McDonald, he called me as soon as I inquired about services, came out and was so personable and saw our vision. About 10 days later he sent us an interactive video of what our pool was going to look like in our backyard and we were sold! Our project manager Oz Curiel was also amazing to work with. He was one step ahead of the game the whole time and made sure everything played out as planned as most importantly as visioned. He has been available for questions and concerns this whole process and is always incredibly responsive. Also Tammy in the office and Eric who runs the maintenance for the pool have also been amazing. Thank you as whole for making this experience for us so positive and building us an absolutely beautiful pool!
